The Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Anoop Chandra Pandey has instructed that the inauguration of Kanya Sumangal Yojana should be done on the last week of August in the first week to ensure that necessary preparations are made by the Chief Minister.


He said that inauguration programs should be organized in district headquarters and all the development blocks of the district. He said that the inauguration of organizing a large program in the district Lucknow should be requested to get time by the lotus by the Chief Minister. He said that by organizing programs in district headquarters under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister, Hon'ble MP and MLAs, Hon'ble Mayor and District Panchayat President, State Women's Commission and State Child Rights Protection Commission members should be invited. Similarly, by organizing the programs in all the development blocks under the chairmanship of the block chief, members of the district panchayat and block panchayat, village head, members of the child welfare committee should be invited.


Certificates should also be distributed to the eligible beneficiaries of all the six categories of benefits payable under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Scheme. Prize money should be distributed from Uttar Pradesh Mahila Bal Samman Kosh to the girls who have secured the first five places in class 10 and 12 in the examinations of various education boards like UP board, CBSE board, ICSE board.


The Chief Secretary was giving necessary instructions to all the Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates through videoconferencing in his office room at Lok Bhawan today. He said that on the next 09 August, 2019, to make plantations of 22 crore plants for making world records, actions on election mode should be ensured on priority. He said that the information about planting 05 crore saplings should be provided by starting the tree plantation program from 9 am in the first hour to 10 am. He has also instructed that the nodal senior administrative officers nominated for the districts will participate in the respective districts in the Vrikaranon program organized in the districts on August 9.


The Chief Secretary has given instructions to bring more speed to more eligible beneficiaries under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and one district one product scheme.


Under the Kanya Sumangala scheme, after the birth of the girl child, an amount of Rs 2000, after the complete immunization of the girl child up to one year, an amount of Rs 1000, after admission in class I and class six, amount of Rs 2-2 thousand and girl child in class 09 After admission, a lump sum of Rs 3000 will be made available. Under the scheme, girls who have passed Bachelor's Degree or completed at least two-year diploma course by passing class XII will be provided an amount of Rs. 5000. Under Kanya Sumangal scheme, the maximum annual family income of the beneficiary will be Rs. 3 lakh and only two girls of a family will get the benefit of the scheme.


If a woman has a twin child from the second delivery, the girl will also be allowed benefit as the third child. If a woman has a girl child from the first delivery and there are only two twins from the second delivery. So only in such a state, the benefit of the scheme will be admissible to all three girls. Under the scheme, if a family has adopted an orphan girl, maximum two girls will be the beneficiaries of the scheme, including the biological children of the family and the children adopted by law. He said that the off-line application forms can be obtained free of charge on the Block Development Officer, SDM, District Probation Officer, Deputy Chief Probation Officer Office or on the departmental website of Kanya Sumangala Portal.


Separate applications will be made to get benefits in different categories of the scheme. He said that the beneficiaries can get the benefit of the scheme by applying directly in any category if eligible. He said that a District Level Approval and Monitoring Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate to approve the application. In which Chief Development Officer, Vice-Chairman and Chief Medical Officer, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue or Administration, District School Inspector and District Basic Education Officer will be Member and District Probation Officer Member Secretary.



Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development, Mrs. Monica S. Garg, Principal Secretary Forest Mrs. Kalpana Awasthi, Principal Secretary Micro and Small Scale Industries Mr. Navneet Sehgal and Principal Secretary, Agriculture Mr. Amit Mohan Prasad and senior officers of relevant departments were present in the video conferencing.
